Hello and welcome to the very first issue of the newsletter 'This is News'!
This newsletter is a new magazine from the Family Hub Leeds, a service helping signpost and inform families and carers of any child who has a learning difficulty or disability.
Our aim is to produce this newsletter termly (three times a year), to inform parents/ carers of upcoming events, things to do for the family during the school holidays and local and national changes in government legislation and how it affects you.
This newsletter is for families and we want families to be part of this newsletter. As part of the launch of this newsletter we're asking children and families to come up with ideas for a name for the newsletter and a logo.
There will be a prize for the winner of the best name and logo (see the last page for details).
We want this newsletter to be one that gives you the information, help and support available in the Leeds Area and we welcome reader recommendations of places to go, which we'll share with other families to help spread the word. Also if you know of any upcoming events, news or updates then please let us know.
