Parent partnership service: Charter Mark celebration
Chris Edwards joined the parent partnership team in celebrating the service’s revalidation with Charter Mark for Customer Service Excellence. The celebration was held on Tuesday 9 June at the Blenheim centre, following the team’s reassessment last month.
The team were presented with a Charter Mark cake and thanked for all of their hard work and efforts as a service, and throughout the reassessment process. The Customer Service Excellence standard is an audit of customer service quality covering customer insight; culture of the organisation; information and access; delivery; timeliness and quality of service.
The celebration was attended by Chris Edwards; Parent carers, members of Parent Power, an organisation providing support for parents and carers in the South Leeds area; volunteers and other Education Leeds employees. Chris Edwards said: “The parent partnership service needs to be one of the best services we provide. Services can be difficult to navigate for parents, and this team plays a critical role. I am really proud of you as a team, you are one of the jewels of Education Leeds"
Sarah Smithson is one of the founders of Parent Power and a parent who has been supported by the parent partnership service said: “This is a fantastic service, worth telling people about.”
Commenting on the achievement, Bridget Mork, parent partnership service co-ordinator said: “Each member of the team is amazing, working hard to achieve the best for families of children with special educational needs. They deserve this award as a recognition for all the commitment they have shown each and every year.”
