Parent Partnership Coordinator
The Parent Partnership Coordinator duties
To work at a strategic level to promote a culture of co-operation between schools, the Local Authority and Children's Services; to manage the Parent Partnership Service to ensure that the minimun standards in the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice are complied with; to manage the Choice Advice Service, The Parent Champion and the Behaviour Officer.
Specifically responsible for ensuring statutory compliance with:
- Legislative requirements of the Education Act 2006 schedule 7 in respect of schools requiring special measures or significant improvement are met with regard to information and communication.
- Legislation in respect of the Education and Inspection Bill section 42 is met with regard to the Admissions policy and practice.
- Legislation in respect of the Education Act 2002 section 52 and amendments 97-108 2006 re exclusions guidance is adhered to.
- Legislation in respect of the Education Act section 316A (SEN) information and provision is adhered to.
Work collaborative with the strategic link to Education Leeds and the Parent Partnership Advisory Board to develop and implement the Service Plan and service level agreement.
Ensure parental/ carer participation in the development of strategies and policies within Education Leeds and the wider Children Leeds framework, lead the team in respect of providing consultation processes for parents and carers and ensure that parents and carers are key stake holders on the Parent Partnership Advisory Board.
